A groin strain or sprain is a common injury in competitive sports such as football. The use of a groin compression support can reduce pain and protect injured muscles and tendons. The Body Helix Adjustable Groin Helix can be comfortably placed high in the groin, therefore positioned to support piriformis, proximal adductor longus, gracilis and buttock muscles
Warming scar tissue makes the tissue more pliable. Consequently, using compression for the groin and buttocks keeps the area warm and supports the damaged tendons.
If injury management or prevention is your goal, wearing our groin compression support will ensure your muscles start warm, and remain warm during physical activities, while your muscles and joints recover. Additionally, this makes the Adjustable Groin support an excellent choice support to aid the treatment of groin and buttock injuries.
Our fabric features Moisture Activated Adherence, This uses the heat & sweat from your body to stick the support to your body. The groin support will not slip or move during exercise.
In addition, because our Helix features Closed-Cell Fabric, it won’t retain sweat or water. You will never have to worry about odours or trapped bacteria.
The support can be washed and dried after each wear.
What is the difference between the Thigh Helix and the Adjustable Groin Helix?
The Adjustable Groin Helix specifically supports the proximal adductor longus, gracilis and buttock muscles. More groin support is provided by the Groin Helix and more thigh muscle support is provided by the Thigh Helix and Full Thigh Helix (Long).
A proper fit is important. The Adjustable Groin Helix is available in one size fits most but not all. The benefit of compression is lost unless the extra large athlete is lean. The length is 51.5".
